Q: When does registration open for the 2026 K Screen Train the Trainers summer sessions?
A: The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) and Curriculum Associates are excited to announce that registration for K Screen Train the Trainers sessions is now available. These trainings are designed for new K Screen coordinators who will be responsible for providing the required three-hour district-level training to teachers and staff.
Participants may choose from the following training opportunities:

July 16 – Central Kentucky Educational Cooperative (CKEC), Harrodsburg, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. ET

July 28 – Daviess Co. Public Schools, Owensboro, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. CT
-
Aug. 26-27 – Virtual evening sessions, 4:00-6:30 p.m. ET
Each session will provide essential guidance on administering the Kentucky Common Kindergarten Entry Screener and preparing district staff for successful implementation. Attendees will receive six hours of Effective Instructional Leadership Act (EILA) credit.
Participants are asked to bring the following items to assist with the in-person trainings:
- A copy of the K&1 Screen III
- Manipulatives (packages of blocks and shapes)
- A children’s book with substantial, age-appropriate text

May DAC Webcast Canceled
The DAC webcast scheduled for Thursday, May 14 has been canceled due to districts administering the Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) during this time. The Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA) recognizes the demands of test administration and appreciates the dedication of District Assessment Coordinators (DACs) during this critical period.
The next DAC webcast will be held on Thursday, June 11.
Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) Office Hour
OAA, in collaboration with Pearson, will host the third and final KSA office hour session on Wednesday, May 13. Pearson will provide a tutorial to assist DACs and Building Assessment Coordinators (BACs) with tasks to be completed in PearsonAccessnext (PAN), including removing students from sessions that did not test, marking students complete, stopping sessions and mailing back paper materials. DACs, BACs and all test administrators can ask questions and receive assistance during this time. Questions can be submitted prior to the office hour using the KSA Office Hour Session 3 Form. Spring 2026 SAT Junior State Administration - Upcoming Webinar: A Deeper Dive into the K-12 Reporting Portal and Benefits of the SAT
College Board will host a live webinar on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET. The session will provide a deeper dive into the K-12 Reporting Portal, including an overview of key reporting metrics, strategies for analyzing student group data, and guidance on using data to inform instructional planning for the upcoming school year.
Participants will also receive information about free SAT-related resources and opportunities available to students and educators, including Khan Academy, Schoolhouse.world tutoring, national recognition programs, scholarship opportunities, and additional supports.

Assessment Scores in Infinite Campus- 2025-26 KYOTE
KDE strives to publish student results data in Infinite Campus (IC) as it becomes available. Last week, KDE published 2025-2026 scores for Kentucky Online Testing (KYOTE) scores from February.

KDE strives to publish student assessment results in IC as scores become available. KDE published the 2025-2026 National SAT scores through March 2026 on Wednesday, May 6. Student scores are matched to the extent possible, but all students cannot be matched.
