(FRANKFORT, KY) – The Title I Committee of Practitioners will meet virtually from 9 to 10 a.m. ET on April 29.
The Title I Committee of Practitioners is required by the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), to review and comment on the rules, regulations and policies related to the Kentucky Department of Education's administration of Title I programs under ESSA.
Members of the Title I Committee of Practitioners include administrators, teachers from traditional public schools as well as career and technical educators; principals, parents, local school board members, representatives of private school children, specialized instructional support personnel and paraprofessionals; and representatives of authorized public chartering agencies. As required by ESSA, a majority of members on the Title I Committee of Practitioners are from local educational agencies.
