Question of the Week
Q: When will the Spring 2026 SAT Junior State Administration ESRs be available for districts?
A: On Friday, May 22, College Board will release the Electronic Score Reports (ESR) in the K-12 Reporting Portal for Spring 2026 Junior SAT scores, which will be a full excel/txt data file of the school and district's data. Staff will need to be provisioned with the role of 'File Downloads' in the Managing Access Tool for K-12 Assessment Reporting in order to access the ESR.
The Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA) extends its appreciation to districts and schools across Kentucky for their dedication and professionalism during the Spring 2026 Junior SAT state administration. Through the collective efforts of district and school staff, the administration was conducted smoothly and successfully. OAA is pleased to share that more than 46,000 SAT tests were completed during this administration.
Spring 2026 Caveon Site Visit Information
As we continue to support a smooth and secure administration of the Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) and Alternate Kentucky Summative Assessment (AKSA), OAA remains committed to maintaining secure testing practices across the state. In conjunction with OAA staff site visits, Caveon staff will also conduct site visits as part of Kentucky’s requirements under the U.S. Department of Education (USED). These visits are routine and important for ensuring the integrity and consistency of our statewide assessment system.
Staff from Caveon will be conducting in-person assessment site visits to selected schools across Kentucky during the KSA and AKSA testing windows. Sites are selected both purposefully and randomly for each region.
When a visit occurs, a member of OAA staff will contact the District Assessment Coordinator (DAC). Caveon staff will arrive on-site at the beginning of the school day and will present identification. All Caveon staff have passed background checks and have been trained regarding the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and Kentucky state laws protecting student privacy.
During these in-person visits, Caveon members require valid login credentials to obtain secure internet access through the school network. The Building Assessment Coordinator (BAC) will be interviewed and will need to provide supporting documentation regarding test procedures, including the testing schedule, examples of seating charts, etc. After the interview, monitors will spend approximately 20 minutes observing a live test session. Caveon monitors will not interfere with or disrupt testing in any manner during the observation, nor will they provide technical assistance or evaluative feedback during the site visit.
Information gathered during the Caveon site visits will be compiled and utilized as part of the site monitoring agreement information in the Caveon test security contract. Please contact dacinfo@education.ky.gov with questions.
