Question of the Week
Q: What is the process for DACs and BACs to transfer students between districts within PAN?
A: When a new student transfers to the district, District Assessment Coordinators (DACs) and Building Assessment Coordinators (BACs) should create a Work Request in PearsonAccessnext (PAN). Please refer to the directions for “New Students to District” located on page 32 in the 2026 Spring KSA Test Administration Manual. Directions are available for transferring students between schools in the same district and new students to the state as well. Pearson encourages DACs and BACs to look for Work Requests within PAN upon each login. Work requests are indicated by a red bell in the black page toolbar. Please review PAN, as there are several student transfer requests that need attention.
If you have any questions, please contact Pearson Kentucky Customer Service at 888-437-1430.
District Test Window Collection for KSA Closed
District Test Window Collection for the Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) is now closed in the Student Data Review and Rosters (SDRR) application.
If district staff need to make changes to the district’s school calendars in Infinite Campus (IC) that have an impact on the district testing window in SDRR, DACs need to email kdeassessment@education.ky.gov.
KSA DAC/BAC Certification of Proper Test Administration Forms
KSA DAC and BAC Certification forms are available and can be found on the KSA webpage as well as the Assessment Support Forms page. These forms require DACs and BACs to certify that responsibilities were met throughout the spring 2026 KSA administration. All BACs must return certification to the DAC to be retained at the local level. All DACs must remit to the Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA) the completed Certification of Proper Test Administration form through the DAC Certification Google Forms. Submissions via email will not be accepted. Certification of Proper Test Administration is due within 2 weeks of a district test window closing.
For questions or assistance, please contact Jessica Brumley.
AKSA Window 2 Science Materials
The Test Administrator Directions for Administering the Attainment Tasks state that “the elementary required assessment materials envelope contains a bag of science materials.” For Window 2, please note that a bag of science materials is not required and, therefore, is not included in the Required Assessment Materials envelope.
For questions, please contact Krista Mullins.
