(FRANKFORT, KY) – The Kentucky Department of Education's (KDE's) Social Studies Review Committee and High School Advisory Panel to meet Feb. 23 at 5 p.m. ET.
KRS 158.6453 calls for KDE to implement a process for reviewing all academic standards and aligned assessments. The schedule calls for one or two content areas to be reviewed each year, and every six years after that on a rotating basis.
The Social Studies High School Advisory Panel is composed of elementary, middle and high school teachers from across the state, members from postsecondary education institutions and representatives from business and community.
The Social Studies Review Committee is composed of Kentucky elementary, middle and high school teachers, community members and members from post-secondary education institutions.
