Season's Greetings from the Office of Assessment and Accountability!
As we close out another year, the Office of Assessment and Accountability would like to extend our sincere appreciation for your continued dedication to Kentucky’s students. Your commitment, professionalism and hard work throughout the year do not go unnoticed.
As the holiday season approaches, we hope you are able to take time to rest, recharge and enjoy meaningful moments with family and friends. This is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments of the past year and look ahead to the opportunities that 2026 will bring.
May your holidays be filled with joy, peace and happiness. We look forward to continuing our partnership and supporting you in the year ahead.
Warmest wishes,
The Office of Assessment and Accountability

SAT Benchmarks and Postsecondary Readiness Accountability in Kentucky
The Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) has established benchmarks for Kentucky’s state administration of the SAT to determine Postsecondary Readiness for Kentucky’s accountability purposes. Please note that these CPE benchmarks may differ from the benchmarks shown on individual student SAT score reports. Additional details are available in the State Administration November Fall Test Coordinator training.
Kentucky statute KRS 158.6455 requires that postsecondary readiness for each high school student be measured by meeting one approved benchmark. One path for students to achieve postsecondary readiness is meeting or exceeding a college readiness benchmark score on a college admissions examination or a college placement examination approved by the Council on Postsecondary Education.
To support this requirement, the Kentucky College Readiness Indicators have been formally established by the Council on Postsecondary Education. These indicators define the benchmark scores used statewide for accountability and reporting purposes.
