Quality Control Day Data Now Available

The Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA), in partnership with District Assessment Coordinators (DACs), will conduct Quality Control (QC) Day today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET. The purpose of QC Day is to identify any systemic issues in accountability data prior to public release.

Please note that no changes will be made to individual student data during QC Day, as those updates were completed during the Fall QC Data Review (Aug. 13–21). QC Day serves as the final opportunity for DACs to review data before the embargoed release to districts.

During QC Day and until the public release, data should only be shared within district and school leadership teams (e.g., superintendent, DAC, district-level staff with relevant responsibilities, principals, BACs). The data are preliminary and may change prior to public release. It should not be shared publicly, through email or in open meetings.

The tentative public release date for accountability data is Wednesday, Nov. 19. Additional details, including instructions for accessing the data, will be shared closer to the release date.

During the QC review process, DACs should complete the following steps: 

• Access Data Files: Login to the KDE Secure Web Application, Student Data Detail, to access summary files and spreadsheets. Zip files are named: SD25_District Number_QC_Day_2025_District Name_20251023.ZIP
• Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA): If no data appears, please verify that the QC Day Nondisclosure Agreement has been uploaded to the DAC Nondisclosure Form Submission Google Form.
• Complete the QC Day Checklist: Confirm that the data review is complete using the 2025 QC Checklist online (Password: QCDAY).
• Report Systemic Issues: Submit a 2025 Data Discrepancy Report(s) online (Password: QCDAY) for any systemic issues identified.
• Submit one form per issue (multiple forms may be submitted as needed).
  • KDE Assessment staff will review and respond once research is complete.
  • After OAA staff researches the issues submitted, DACs will receive a response from KDE Assessment. 

Please Note: If login issues occur, contact the District Web Apps Admin Point of Contact (WAAPOC) for access support. The WAAPOC may contact the KETS Service Desk if additional assistance is needed.
