A New Leadership Resource for Kentucky Principals
You juggle a lot. School leadership demands strong systems – for students, staff and YOU.
That’s why three organizations – The Principal Partnership Project (P3), Central Kentucky Educational Cooperative (CKEC) and the Kentucky Association of School Councils (KASC) – are teaming up to bring you something new.
It’s called NAVIGATE: a comprehensive website designed to support the systems that help your school run better.
Today, we’re rolling out the first piece of the site: Needs-Based Wellness. This section is designed to help you reflect, reset and build small practices that support your energy, clarity, and sustainability as a leader.
This is just the beginning. In the coming weeks, we’ll share more tools to support academic systems, intervention and more. But for now, we invite you to start with yourself.
Explore the Wellness System and more at NAVIGATE
Visit the website. Try one tool. Start where you are.
Brought to you in partnership by: The Principal Partnership Project, Central Kentucky Educational Cooperative and the Kentucky Association of School Councils.

Invitation to Participate in Principal Research Survey
Head principals are invited to participate in an important research survey focused on understanding the current needs of principals across Kentucky. As a current head principal in a Kentucky school district, your insights, experiences and perceptions are invaluable to helping shape how education leaders and principal preparation programs can better support principals in the field.
Your participation involves reviewing the attached consent form and completing a brief online survey. The information you share will help inform future supports for school leaders across the Commonwealth.
➡️ Please read the attached consent form for details about the study. ➡️ Then complete the survey using the link provided.
Your voice matters. Thank you for considering this opportunity to inform research that directly impacts leadership development and school improvement in Kentucky.
Supporting New Teachers: A Leadership Responsibility
As we prepare to welcome new teachers into our schools, it’s essential to remember that the Kentucky Educator Mentorship Program (KEMP) is a required support for all new teachers. The success of this program starts with you – the school principal. Your leadership is key in selecting strong mentors, fostering a supportive school culture and ensuring that mentoring conversations are meaningful and focused on instructional growth.
The KEMP Guidance Document includes a dedicated section outlining the roles and responsibilities of school administrators. It’s a helpful resource to guide your work in launching or sustaining a strong mentorship program.
For practical insights, check out Hardin County Schools: EdCamp 2025 Presentation, where they share what has worked – and what hasn’t – in implementing their own mentorship model.
Let’s ensure every new teacher starts their career with the support they need to thrive.
