Resources for Summer Learning
The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) supports family engagement all year long. Learning can continue even when school is not in session. The summer months are an opportunity to further encourage families to enjoy literacy and numeracy experiences together in their own homes.

End-of-year step-backs are designed to support district and school leadership teams as they examine progress towards their high-quality instructional resource (HQIR) implementation goals, identify key successes, learn from and solve significant challenges and make adjustments for the next year.

TODAY: Holocaust Education Webinar: Using Historical Newspapers as Primary Sources in Social Studies and ELA
The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) has collaborated with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) to showcase what a Holocaust education learning experience aligned to the Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS) for Social Studies and the KAS for Reading and Writing looks like in practice. This webinar is designed to deepen participants’ Holocaust education content knowledge and pedagogy.
