(FRANKFORT, KY) –The Commissioner’s Student Advisory Council Kentucky Board of Education (KBE) Application Review Special Committee to meet virtually April 16 at 4 p.m. ET.
The purpose of the Commissioner’s Student Advisory Council is to advise Kentucky's commissioner of education and the Kentucky Department of Education's (KDE's) leadership team on issues relevant to high school students. The group meets both in person and virtually to provide feedback on critical issues impacting students and schools and work with KDE staff to develop ideas to improve and transform education.
The special committee’s purpose is to review applications for the 2025-2026 nonvoting student member of the Kentucky Board of Education and recommend three candidates to the KBE.
While this meeting will be held via video teleconference, members of the public may watch the meeting on the KDE Media Portal.
