Question of the Week
Q: How do DACs and BACs transfer students between districts within the PearsonAccessnext (PAN) system?
A: When a new student transfers to the district, District Assessment Coordinators (DACs) and Building Assessment Coordinators (BACs) should create a Work Request in PAN. Please refer to the directions for “New Students to District” located on page 28 in the 2025 Spring KSA Test Administration Manual. Directions are available for transferring students between schools in the same district and new students to the state. Pearson is encouraging DACs and BACs to look for Work Requests within PAN upon each login. Work requests are indicated by a red bell in the black page toolbar. There are already many work requests for student transfers within PAN that need to be addressed.

District Test Window Collection for KSA
District Test Window Collection for the Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) is now closed in the Student Data Review and Rosters (SDRR) application. If district staff need to make changes to the district’s school calendars in Infinite Campus (IC) due to HB 241, or for any other reason, that has an impact on the district testing window in SDRR, DACs need to email kdeassessment@education.ky.gov.
KSA DAC/BAC Certification of Proper Test Administration Forms
Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) DAC and BAC Certification forms are available and can be found on the KSA webpage as well as the Assessment Support Forms page. These forms require that DACs and BACs certify responsibilities were met throughout the spring 2025 KSA administration. All DACs must remit to the Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA) the completed Certification of Proper Test Administration form through Google Forms. Submissions via email will not be accepted. Certification of Proper Test Administration forms are due within 2 weeks after the district test window closes.

ACT Spring 2025 Junior State Administration – Test Window #2 Concluding
With test window 2 closing soon (online testing and accommodations and supports paper testing concluding on Friday, April 4), testing staff may find particular interest in the following information:
- Prepare Paper Testing Materials for Return. Schools are to prepare accommodations and supports paper testing materials from test window 2 as soon as testing is completed. Per the Schedule of Events, the pre-scheduled pickup date is Monday, April 7, and the receipt deadline is Friday, April 11. Additional information about preparing materials for return can be found in the Test Coordinator Information Manual and its section titled “Collecting, Packing, and Returning Materials after Testing.” There are resources and training tutorials posted within Step 6 of the ACT-hosted testing website that testing staff should review to ensure there is awareness of the process for collecting, storing, and returning materials after testing concludes. This includes the training tutorial on How to Return Standard and Accommodations Test Materials.
- Online Test Materials. Schools will not need to return online test materials, as this is an ACT policy change for this spring’s administration. Testing staff can refer to the ACT Administration Online Manual and the section titled “Collecting and Securely Destroying Materials after Testing” for information on how to manage the online materials after testing is complete. This includes instructions on how to upload the seating diagram in PearsonAccessnext (PAN) using the Support Request functionality, as this specific test administration form is still required to be provided to ACT electronically.
- Track Paper Test Materials Shipments. Testing staff can track accommodations and supports paper test materials shipments using Orders and Shipment Tracking in PAN. Instructions can be found in the PAN User Guide by referencing the section titled “View Status and Shipment Information.”

K Screen Ordering Window Closed
The deadline for submitting 2025-2026 K Screen orders has passed. Please use this Google form to request materials for any remaining orders. Every effort will be made to process late orders promptly; however, Curriculum Associates cannot guarantee that materials will arrive before the screening window opens.
Additionally, all districts should complete the form, even if not ordering supplies, by providing an estimated number of kindergarten students for the 2025-2026 school year. This information is essential for estimating the number of user licenses needed for your classrooms.
