(FRANKFORT, KY) –The Kentucky Department of Education's (KDE's) Reading and Writing Review Committee will meet in person March 19 at 9 a.m. ET.
KRS 158.6453 calls for KDE to implement a process for reviewing all academic standards and aligned assessments. The schedule calls for one or two content areas to be reviewed each year, and every six years after that on a rotating basis.
The Reading and Writing Review Committee are composed of elementary, middle and high school teachers from across the state, members from postsecondary education institutions, and representatives from business and community.
Observers can view this meeting live at the Capital Plaza Hotel at 405 Wilkinson Blvd., Frankfort. This meeting will be held virtually if inclement weather prevents members from attending in person.
