The regional educational cooperatives, in partnership with the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), will host in-person meetings in March for district and school leaders to explore new resources available to support effective implementation of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) with emphasis on Tier 1 curriculum anchored in a high-quality instructional resource (HQIR).
Feedback Sought on Draft Kentucky Academic Standards for Health Education and Physical Education
The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) is seeking feedback on the draft Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS) for Health Education and the draft KAS for Physical Education. The drafts were developed by the Advisory Panels and Review Committee, each made up of health and physical education teachers from around the state.
Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching

PAEMST APPLICATIONS DUE TOMORROW, Feb. 6!
The Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) is the top honor for computer science, math, science, and engineering teachers in the nation. National awardees receive $10,000 and a trip to Washington, D.C.
Anyone can nominate a 7-12th grade teacher at paemst.gov; you only need the person's name, school, and email address to nominate them (it takes about 5 minutes). Or, if you are a 7-12th grade computer science, math, science, or engineering teacher who has been teaching for at least 5 years, you can start your application right now at paemst.gov.
Completed applications are due February 6, 2025!
