The Cultivating Vibrant Learning Experiences in Mathematics Workshop for Teams seeks to deepen content knowledge and pedagogy, clarifying what to teach and how best to teach it through the use of high-quality instructional resources being used in Kentucky classrooms. The workshop will specifically elevate connections across:

The Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS) for Mathematics;

Evidence-Based Instructional Practices, specifically the Effective Mathematics Teaching Practices outlined by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM); and
-
High-Quality Instructional Resources (HQIRs) in Mathematics.

Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching
PAEMST APPLICATIONS FOR GRADES 7-12 NOW OPEN!
The Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) is the top honor for computer science, math, science, and engineering teachers in the nation. National awardees receive $10,000 and a trip to Washington, D.C.
Anyone can nominate a 7-12th grade teacher at paemst.gov; you only need the person's name, school, and email address to nominate them (it takes about 5 minutes). Or, if you are a 7-12th grade computer science, math, science, or engineering teacher who has been teaching for at least 5 years, you can start your application right now at paemst.gov.
Completed applications are due February 6, 2025!

 Kentucky’s literacy initiatives are expanding with a webinar series aimed at grades 6-12 educators. Sessions provide practical strategies based on structured literacy principles to enhance reading and writing instruction.
