Question of the Week
Q: When will the 2024-2025 K Screen District Data be available?
A: The K Screen results for the 2024-2025 administration will be available on Monday, Dec. 9 at 3 p.m. ET. Districts will access their 2024-2025 K Screen data through the KDE Secure Web Application. The ZIP files will be formatted with the following protocol: SD25[_###_K Screen_District Name_ 2024####. The spreadsheets are formatted in district and school breakdowns. The 2024-2025 K Screen results will be reported in the fall School Report Card of the 2024-2025 school year.
The Kindergarten Screener was administered to incoming 2024-2025 kindergarten students and repeating kindergarten students by Oct. 15. The information from the results of the Kindergarten Screener process provides valuable insight to stakeholders to ensure growth for all students. The data contains the composite score of the Core Assessment, the Self-Help and Social-Emotional Skills Survey, and Prior Settings data reported in Infinite Campus (IC).

ACT Spring 2025 Junior State Administration – Select Test Dates Deadline
For the ACT spring 2025 junior state administration, ACT needs to know the testing plans for schools within districts. Schools still needing to complete this task should sign into ACT’s PearsonAccessnext (PAN) system and complete the Test Date Selection task by Friday, Dec. 6. Schools will make selections that will notify ACT if schools are testing or not and provide verification that the shipping address is correct. Step 1 of the ACT-hosted website where testing staff can access the PAN User Guide to get instructions on how to complete this step by referencing the section titled “Test Date and Materials Receipt Selection” and watch the associated step-by-step training tutorials.
Please ensure testing staff involved with selecting test dates, choosing shipping dates, verifying shipping addresses, and managing testing staff user accounts are aware that this task should be completed by Friday, Dec. 6.
For any questions or assistance, please contact Christen Roseberry.
ACT State Testing Office Hour – Dec. 10
The Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA) and ACT will host an office hour session on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 1:30 p.m. ET, which will focus on the Select Test Dates task. The session will be hosted via a Microsoft Teams meeting. While the content will be focused on highlighting that activity, OAA and ACT encourage testing staff to attend and ask any questions they may have at this time. Please be sure to provide testing staff with this Microsoft Teams Link for the session. Attendees will not have to register for office hours specifically but will want to mark time on calendars to avoid any scheduling conflicts.
For any questions, please contact Christen Roseberry.
ACT Spring 2025 Junior State Administration – Request Accommodations and Supports
As a reminder, ACT’s Test Accessibility and Accommodations (TAA) system, accessed via success.act.org, is open. The published deadline to request accommodations and supports for the upcoming ACT spring 2025 Junior State Administration is Friday, Jan. 24, 2025; however, ACT’s review and approval process typically takes multiple business days. Please work to complete this task now to ensure testing staff have the opportunity to provide any additional information ACT may require for approval. Ideally, to guarantee this process is complete by the deadline, and students receive a college reportable score, testing staff should complete this critical task by Wednesday, Dec. 18. Please share this information with school testing staff to ensure they are aware of the process for requesting accommodations and supports.
Please ensure testing staff have access to the TAA system. If the testing staff have not yet requested accommodations and supports, ACT and KDE highly recommend that this activity be completed as soon as possible.
Step 3 of the ACT-hosted testing website contains comprehensive information about requesting accommodations and supports. This includes helpful resources such as the TAA User Guide, detailed information about Requesting Accommodations and English Learner Supports and Retesting with Accommodations, and the on-demand Accommodations webinar that ACT hosted in Nov.
For questions and assistance, please contact ACT at 800.553.6244, ext. 1788 or email ACTStateAccoms@act.org.
Additionally, please contact Christen Roseberry for any questions, concerns or assistance.
