ACT Spring 2025 Junior State Administration – Test Accessibility and Accommodations (TAA) Portal Now Open
ACT’s Test Accessibility and Accommodations (TAA) portal, accessed via success.act.org, is now open for the spring 2025 junior state administration. The deadline to submit initial accommodation requests or associations is January 24. ACT and the Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA) encourage testing staff to request new accommodations and supports, or to associate students who were previously approved for accommodations and supports, before leaving for Christmas break. This will help ensure all key deadlines are met in preparation for the ACT spring 2025 junior state administration.
Step 3 of the ACT-hosted website contains comprehensive information about requesting new or associating previously approved accommodations and supports. This includes helpful resources such as the TAA User Guide and Retesting with Accommodations.
Please ensure testing staff involved with requesting new or associated previously approved accommodations and supports are aware that TAA is open. For questions and assistance, please contact ACT at 800.553.6244, ext. 1788 or email ACTStateAccoms@act.org. Additionally, please also contact Christen Roseberry with any questions, concerns or for assistance.
ACT Spring 2025 Junior State Administration – Select Test Dates Process Change
Testing staff should be aware that there has been a minor change to how test dates are selected in PearsonAccessnext (PAN) during the ACT spring 2025 junior state administration. Due to a PAN platform configuration change, the option to select “Not Applicable/Online Testing” for Paper Standard Time Test Date has been removed. Testing staff will now enter the same test date in the Paper Standard Time Test Date dropdown to match the date entered for the Online Standard Time and Accommodations Test Window Start Date and Paper Accommodations Test Window Start Date dropdowns. Step 1 of the ACT-hosted website contains helpful resources about completing the select test date process. This includes the PAN User Guide, within the section titled “Submit Test Date Selection and Materials Receipt Week Data,” and Test Date Selection training tutorial.
With the Kentucky Department of Education’s (KDE) expectation that schools administering the ACT will use the online mode, entering a date in the Paper Standard Time Test Date dropdown does not mean ACT will automatically ship standard materials to the schools. The test mode is determined by the testing format loaded for the individual student. For the ACT in Kentucky, all students are loaded with the online test delivery mode.
Please Note: If an accommodation necessitates paper-based testing for students, the delivery format will automatically shift to paper. Test Coordinators should not manually alter delivery formats for any students. If the school feels a student requires paper, please email Christen Roseberry at KDE with a detailed reason for the paper request.
For any questions, please contact Christen Roseberry.
