In partnership with the Kentucky Department of Education, KET is offering the online, self-paced and facilitated SBDM 101 course free to the first 526 participants.
Free registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis. Please reach out to your district’s coordinator for the code to access your free seat.
Decisions with Data Training
The Decisions with Data training is now available to use with your experienced council members. This training is designed to walk council members through what data is available for their use and how to use that data to make decisions for their school. You can find the facilitator’s guide, participant’s guide and associated PowerPoint on the SBDM Training webpage.
Thank you to our coordinators and trainings for their feedback during the endorsement training, as it was used to further develop the training to meet the needs of our council members.

Comprehensive Improvement Planning for Schools
School improvement efforts are a collaborative process involving multiple stakeholders. Through the improvement planning process, leaders focus on priority needs, funding and closing achievement gaps among identified subgroups of students. When implemented with fidelity, the Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP) cultivates an environment that promotes student growth and achievement.
Please note that for schools operating a Title I Schoolwide Program, this comprehensive school improvement plan meets the requirements of Section 1114 of the Every Student Succeeds Act as well as state requirements under 703 KAR 5:225. No separate Schoolwide Program Plan is required.
You can find the timeline for comprehensive school improvement planning outlined in 703 KAR 5:225. Additional information regarding the 2024-2025 planning phases can be found on the Comprehensive Improvement Planning webpage.
More information regarding the planning process for 2024-2025 will be shared at the 2024 Continuous Improvement Summit.
