A:  The Kentucky Alternate Assessment Program Calendar for the 2024-2025 academic year is now available. It outlines important dates and deadlines to ensure all assessments are conducted smoothly and efficiently.

• Assessment Windows: The calendar details specific periods for each alternate assessment, ensuring all schools align with the statewide schedule. 

• Preparation Deadlines: Important dates for preparation activities, such as materials ordering, training sessions, and data uploads, are clearly outlined to help schools stay on track. 

• Submission Deadlines: Critical deadlines for the submission of assessment results and other required documentation are included to ensure timely reporting and compliance. 

The calendar is designed to support our commitment to providing equitable educational opportunities for all students, including those with significant cognitive disabilities. By adhering to the schedule and guidelines provided, educators can effectively plan and administer assessments, ensuring that every student’s achievements are accurately measured and reported.

Curriculum Associates and the Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA) will be hosting the last Train the Trainers for the fall K Screen window on August 28 and August 29.  This virtual training event will take place in the afternoon from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. ET on both days, accommodating educators who are returning to the classroom. It is specifically required for new K Screen coordinators, who will be responsible for delivering the three-hour training to teachers and district staff. 

Participants may register using the K Screen Train the Trainers Virtual Training: August 28-29 Google Form . OAA will be accepting registrations via the Google Form until 5 p.m. ET on August 23. More information on how to access the virtual event will be provided in an email on August 26 to new district trainers who have registered. 

Attendees will receive 6 hours of Effective Instructional Leadership Act (EILA) credit. Please contact DACinfo with any questions.
