Question of the Week
Q: When will districts have access to review the K Screen Staff Files for the 2024-2025 screening window?
A: Anyone requiring access to the BRIGANCE OMS must have a new user account and login credentials created each school year. Administrator and Data Entry Staff logins are derived from the district Staff Files each year. In order to build the Online Management System (OMS) staff file for the 2024-2025 school year, the existing staff file must be edited.
The district assessment coordinator (DAC) may access the spreadsheet from the KDE Secure Web Applications website beginning Wednesday, May 8 under "Student Data Detail (Excel and PDF)." The staff file is included in the Excel spreadsheet: "SD25_DistrictNumber_K_Screen_Users_ (name of district)_XXXXXXXX.xlsx."
The district’s spreadsheet will be pre-populated with the information originally submitted for the 2023-2024 school year. Please review and make any corrections or additions as needed for the upcoming screening window. Please upload the updated staff file by July 1 to the 2024-2025 K Screen Staff File Submission Form.
Please Note: As mentioned in the Implementation Guide, districts do not need to add teachers into the staff file for the 2024-2025 school year. Only district administrators and data entry clerks need to be added to the Staff File.
DACs who are unable to access the KDE secure application site should check with their Web Application Administration Point of Contact (WAAPOC) and/or the KETS Service Desk. The KETS Service Desk can be reached at (502) 564-2002 or (866) 538-7435.
