The Kentucky School for the Blind (KSB) Advisory Board will meet at the Kentucky School for the Blind on May 17 at 11 a.m. ET.
KRS 167.035 permits the establishment of a KSB advisory board composed of five members appointed by the Kentucky Board of Education upon recommendation by the commissioner of education. The board acts in an advisory capacity to assist KSB leadership in conducting the activities of the school.
The KSB Advisory Board will set aside 30 minutes dedicated to receiving public comments. Individuals wishing to address the KSB Advisory Board needs to sign up to speak before the meeting begins and provide his/her name and describe the issue on which they will speak. This information should be sent to Janell Turner, KSB Advisory Board chair, at JanellK.Turner@ky.gov.
Individuals addressing the KSB Advisory Board will be provided five minutes each for public comment. The KSB Advisory Board has the right to set limits on the topics that may be addressed by the public to ensure relevance to the function and purpose of the advisory board.
