Question of the Week
Q: When will the Alternate Kentucky Summative Assessment (AKSA) Window 2 begin?
A: The AKSA Window 2 opened on Monday, April 15 and runs through Friday, May 24. The Student Registration Database (SRD) opened for score entry today, April 15 and will close on May 31. All scores must be entered into the SRD by the close of business on Friday, May 31. For students who need to complete both Window 1 and Window 2 during the second window, please complete the AKSA Window 1 Makeup During Window 2 Form. If a student has moved into the district from another district in Kentucky, please email Krista Mullins with the student’s SSID number, new district, and name of the school where the student is enrolled for the student to be transferred in SRD. For students who have been determined by the Admissions and Release Committee (ARC) to no longer meet eligibility criteria for AKSA, or if a student has moved out of state, please complete the Student Deletion Request Form.
Action Needed: Forms 4, 5 and 6 are the correct field test item forms, however the answer sheets included in the AKSA shipping materials are labeled incorrectly. To correct this issue, test administrators have two options:
- Print the corrected Window 2 Attainment Task Answer Sheet from the Online Training System (OTS) website for recording Window 2 student answers; or
- Write the correct field test form number on the Attainment Task Answer Sheet provided in shipping materials.
For questions, please contact Krista Mullins.

ACT Spring 2024 Junior Administration - Reporting Timeline
With the ACT spring 2024 junior administration now complete, KDE and ACT want to ensure school and district staff have access to data and reports. As is detailed in the ACT Spring 2024 Score Report Schedule under Step 7, scores will be released as processed by ACT, which will be completed approximately 3 to 8 weeks after the test is administered. The scores will be available within ACT’s Online Reporting System, which is accessible via the success.act.org website. Students can access an electronic copy of their results in the MyACT account.
Additionally, a new feature has been added in online reporting this spring that allows school and district staff the ability to download Individual Student Reports in both English and Spanish. This new feature is accessible within the Roster View by selecting the “Student” button.
Testing staff is encouraged to review the resources and training tutorials posted within Step 7 of the ACT-hosted website to become familiar with how to access and interpret the score reports and test data. This includes helpful user guides such as the ACT Online Reporting User Guide, which has an upfront section specific to the ACT assessment.
Final data and reports will be available no later than May 20. Please note that the results that are available within the online reporting system and MyACT accounts prior to May 20, are not embargoed. If there are questions about accessing data within the online reporting system, please complete this ACT Contact Webform.
