Nursing students demonstrate what they're learning during the CTE Showcase in 2023

Kentucky Department of Education to host career and technical education showcase on Feb. 7

(FRANKFORT, KY) – The Kentucky Department of Education’s (KDE's) Office of Career and Technical Education (OCTE) will host a showcase of 13 different career and technical education (CTE) pathways to celebrate CTE Month during the Kentucky Board of Education meeting on Feb. 7.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET at the KDE office – 300 Sower Blvd., Frankfort – students from the following schools and career pathways will be demonstrating what they’re learning as they prepare for their future:

  • iLEAD Academy: Engineering;
  • Madison Southern High School (Madison County): Early Childhood;
  • Garrard County High School: E-Commerce;
  • Mason County High School: Culinary/Food Service;
  • Paul Laurence Dunbar High School (Fayette County): Civil Engineering;
  • Nelson County High School: Aerospace Engineering;
  • Logan County High School: Marketing;
  • Caldwell County High School: Entrepreneurship;
  • Rowan County Senior High School: Graphic Design;
  • Locust Trace Agriscience Center (Fayette County): Agribusiness
  • Jessamine County Career and Technology Center: Culinary/Food Service;
  • Breckinridge County Area Technology Center: Welding; and
  • Harrison County Area Technology Center: Business/Marketing.

Funding for the showcase was made possible through Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funds from the American Rescue Plan Act.
