(FRANKFORT, KY) – The Kentucky Department of Education's (KDE's) Health Education and Physical Education Advisory Panels and Review Committee will meet virtually on Jan. 31 at 9 a.m. ET.
KRS 158.6453 calls for KDE to implement a process for reviewing all academic standards and aligned assessments. The schedule calls for one or two content areas to be reviewed each year, and every six years after that on a rotating basis.
The Health Education and Physical Education Standards Committees are comprised of members of both the Advisory Panels and the Review Committee, which includes Kentucky elementary, middle and high school teachers, community members and members from postsecondary education institutions.
The meeting will be held via video teleconference. Members of the public may watch by joining the available virtual link.
