Q: When do ACCESS and Alternate ACCESS Rosters open in SDRR?
A: The ACCESS and Alternate ACCESS rosters will open Jan. 5 in the Student Data Review and Rosters (SDRR) application. ACCESS and WIDA Alternate ACCESS rosters will open for schools and districts to add students to file a nonparticipation only if necessary. Both rosters will close on March 7 at noon ET for new tickets in SDRR. 2023-2024 ACCESS Roster PowerPoint is available as a resource for schools and districts.
KDE Offices Closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1
The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) will be closed for the holidays the following two Mondays. There will be no Monday DAC Email on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Should there be the need for any timely messages, a Special DAC Email will be sent. Have a safe and healthy holiday season!

Alternate ACCESS: Administration and Scoring training course. This redesigned training course is the single best place to learn about how to administer Alternate ACCESS.
As a reminder, anyone who will administer Alternate ACCESS during the 2023-2024 school year must complete the training course.

New WIDA Snapshot Helps Educators Use WIDA Proficiency Level Descriptors
Educators have been wanting more explicit direction on how the Proficiency Level Descriptors of the WIDA ELD Standards Framework can be utilized to improve instruction for multilingual learners. This WIDA Snapshot on Proficiency Level Descriptors gives K-12 educators ideas on how to apply them as they consider scaffolding practices that support multilingual students in meeting grade level content learning goals.

Updates and Reminders: 2023-2024 CTE EOP Assessment
The 2023-2024 Career and Technical Education (CTE) End-of-Program (EOP) Assessment testing window is Feb. 19 – Mar. 29. Schools have selected a consecutive two-week school testing window to conduct the assessment administration. All 2023-2024 CTE EOP Assessment testing must be completed by Mar. 29. The CTE EOP Assessments are available in person and must be proctored in person in accordance with 703 KAR 5:080 (February 2014), Administration Code for Kentucky’s Educational Assessment Program and 703 KAR 5:070 (April 2021), Inclusion of Special Populations in the State-Required Assessment and Accountability Programs.

REMINDERS:
- Schools must meet CRITICAL DEADLINES for students to be eligible to test. A student must be identified as a concentrator in Infinite Campus AND have at least two valid credits for the pathway on their official home high school transcript AND that data MUST be imported to TEDS before Feb. 1 to be eligible to test in 2023-2024. Refer to the latest TEDS Monthly Notes - Kentucky Department of Education for additional information regarding TEDS data. Test tickets will be generated in E-SESS, after Feb.1, using the data from TEDS.
- All concentrator students in a pathway, with a CTE EOP Assessment available, who receive a test ticket will be eligible to test.
- The complete list of 2023-2024 Valid CTE End-of-Program (EOP) Assessments is available on the CTE EOP Assessments webpage and are aligned to Career Pathway Standards.
- All individuals participating in the administration of CTE EOP Assessment shall comply with 703 KAR 5:080 (February 2014), Administration Code for Kentucky’s Educational Assessment Program and 703 KAR 5:070 (April 2021), Inclusion of Special Populations in the State-Required Assessment and Accountability Programs. Assessment Regulations Training must be completed by all individuals participating in the administration of the assessments prior to testing at the local level. Nondisclosures and Group Signature Sheets verifying training should be kept on file locally.

Spring 2024 ACT State Administration Training and Materials Available
KDE and ACT have collaborated on new resources for the Spring 2024 Junior State ACT Administration. The ACT/OAA Spring 2024 State Administration Guidance Document is now available on the KDE ACT page. This guidance document covers KDE policy and frequently asked questions pertaining to the ACT State Administration. In addition to the guidance document, the ACT/OAA Spring 2024 State Administration Training has been recorded, and the training video and PowerPoint have been uploaded to the ACT-hosted website. December Monthly DAC Webcast
The Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA), Division of Assessment and Accountability Support (DAAS) hosted its live monthly DAC Webcast virtually Thursday, Dec. 14, from 11 a.m. – 12 noon ET.
The meeting was hosted by Jennifer Stafford, Director, in the Division of Assessment and Accountability Support. She was joined by Krista Mullins, Sherri Craig, Chris Williams and Shara Savage who provided important assessment and accountability topics. The agenda topics included:
