Q: When will the 2022-2023 KSA and AKSA district and school reports be made available in PearsonAccessNext (PAN)?
A: The 2022-2023 Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) and Alternate Kentucky Summative Assessment (AKSA) district and school reports are now available in PAN. The Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA) in collaboration with Pearson have provided the following reports:
- Combined School Listing
- Combined School Summary
- District School Listing
- District Summary Report
- School Listing
- School Listing Data File
- School Summary Report
During the embargo period of Oct. 30, 12:00 p.m. (noon) ET – Oct. 31, 10:00 p.m. ET, these reports may be shared with teachers and administrators who have a signed Embargo Data Release NDA. For any questions about access to reports, please email dacinfo@education.ky.gov.
AKSA Released Items
The 2022-2023 Alternate Kentucky Summative Assessment (AKSA) Released items and data are now available on the KDE website. Released items are operational test items that have been used with students. These items are pulled from circulation and released to the public along with the data on how students performed on each item. If a student group has less than ten students tested, that data will not be released.
ACT State Fall 2023 State Senior (Optional) Administration Testing: Makeup Testing (Test Window 2) Prescheduled Material Pickup
Schools who administered exams within the makeup test window, or test window 2, will have a material pickup attempted today, Monday, Oct. 30, 2023. If schools were unable to compile material for return to ACT on today’s initial material pickup attempt, FedEx will attempt two additional pickup attempts on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. Testing staff is encouraged to review the resources and training tutorials posted within Step 6 of the ACT-hosted website to ensure the appropriate material is returned to ACT for processing. This includes the training tutorial on How to Return Online Test Materials.
Finally, testing staff should be aware that the receipt deadline for initial test materials is Friday, Nov. 3, 2023. For questions or assistance, please contact Shara Savage.
ACT State Fall 2023 State Senior (Optional) Administration Testing: Reporting Timeline
With the ACT fall 2023 state senior (optional) administration now complete, KDE and ACT want to ensure school and district staff have access to data and reports. As is detailed in the ACT fall 2023 Score Report Schedule, scores will be released as processed by ACT, which will be completed approximately 3 to 8 weeks after the test is administered. The scores will be available within ACT’s Online Reporting System, which is housed at ACT Success for Organizations Website and students can access an electronic copy of their results in the MyACT account. Final data and reports will be available no later than Dec. 13, 2023. Please note that the results that are available within the online reporting system and MyACT accounts prior to Dec. 13, 2023, are not embargoed. Ten-Day Regulatory Data Review Opening Soon in SDRR
The Ten-Day Regulatory Data Review in the Student Data Review and Rosters (SDRR) application will begin Nov.1 at 9 a.m. ET and will end on Nov.13 at noon ET. New tickets for individual student level changes, requests for nonparticipations, etc. may be submitted during this time. More detailed information on the 10-Day Regulatory Data Review will be sent out in a Special DAC email when SDRR opens on Wednesday.

Updated Supported System Requirements for ACCESS for ELLS and WIDA Screener Online
Updated supported system requirements for ACCESS for ELLs Online and WIDA Screener Online will be posted to WIDA Assessment Management System (AMS) under My Applications > General Information > Documents. These system requirements will be valid for Nov. 2023-Feb. 2024.
Please note the following changes:
The following operating systems are no longer supported and have been removed from the table on page 4:
- Windows 8.1
- Windows Server 2012 R2
- iOS 14.x
- macOS 10.15
- Ubuntu 18.04 LTS version with Gnome Shell (Linux)
- macOS 11.x (Big Sur) is supported until 30
- DRC is currently evaluating support for Windows 11 SE and has removed it from the list of supported operating systems table on page 4. This operating system was previously listed under Phase 1: Best Effort Support.
AKSA Window 1 Administration to Begin Nov. 13
The AKSA Overview and Attainment Tasks (AT) Combined Training closes on Nov. 10. The AKSA test administrator must pass the qualification quiz prior to administering the AT and a copy of the quiz certificate must be given to the District Assessment Coordinator (DAC). Test administrators will receive testing materials from the DAC to administer the AT. Test administration for Window will begin on Nov. 13 and close on Dec. 15. All scores MUST be entered into the Student Registration Database (SRD) by Dec. 22.

AKSA Office Hours Scheduled
The Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA) is pleased to offer office hour sessions for the AKSA in the 2023-2024 school year. Office Hours will address questions specific to the Window 1 administration. The first session will occur prior to Window 1 opening, and there will be a second session prior to the close of the window.
District Assessment Coordinators (DACs), Building Assessment Coordinators (BACs), Directors of Special Education (DoSE), and all teachers/test administrators will be able to ask questions and receive assistance during this time. The dates, times, and links to the Teams meeting below may be forwarded to any school personnel who may benefit from attending these sessions:

AKSA Window 1 Documents
The AKSA Window 1 materials will arrive in districts the week of Oct. 30. If materials are not received by Friday, Nov. 3, please reach out to KDE by email at dacinfo@education.ky.gov.
Changes to SRD
There will be some changes to the Student Registration Database (SRD). An updated SRD manual and video highlighting changes will be available at a later date. The SRD opened on Oct. 24 for districts to verify/edit rosters. The SRD will open for score entry of Window 1 and TAR on Nov. 13.
ESAR Administration to Begin Nov. 13
The Employability Skills Attainment Record (ESAR) is a career readiness measure for the postsecondary readiness indicator of the Kentucky accountability system administered to students participating in alternative high school diploma courses of study or alternate assessment and working towards career readiness. The ESAR is a rating scale that assesses student demonstration of skills linked to the Employability and Foundational Academic Standards-Alternate Assessment (EFAS-AA). The ESAR qualification quiz is available beginning Nov. 13 and will remain open until Dec. 22. The Qualified ESAR Administrator must pass the qualification quiz before ESAR administration begins. Administration of the ESAR must be completed by May 24, 2024. Due to data reporting timelines, the deadline to enter all ESAR scores into the Career Ready Database (CRD) is May 31, 2024.
