Kinney will be speaking to students about KDE initiatives such as United We Learn during an assembly in two different schools for the first time as interim commissioner.
The Kentucky Board of Education named Robin Kinney as interim commissioner of education during a special meeting on Sept. 14. She previously served as an associate commissioner in the Office of Finance and Operations for the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE).
United We Learn is Kentucky's for the future of public education in the Commonwealth. This vision builds around three big ideas: creating a more vibrant experience for every student, encouraging innovation in our schools – especially when it comes to assessment, and creating a bold new future for Kentucky’s schools through collaboration with our communities.
