A multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) is a multi-level delivery system focused on prevention for all students in academic, behavioral and social-emotional domains. The MTSS framework is a three-tiered, layered continuum of instruction, intervention and support. A robust tier 1 is crucial to the effectiveness of the layered continuum.
The MTSS Tier 2 and Tier 3 Processes video focuses on tier 2 and tier 3 processes within an effective MTSS framework. The video provides an overview of tier 2 and tier 3 processes, which include collaborative problem-solving teams engaging in assessment, identification, intervention and evaluation as part of data-based decision making to ensure that all students receive what they need to maximize their achievements.
A facilitator guide and a participant guide are available to support use of the video for professional learning.
