Updated Student Data Now Available
The Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA) has made available updated data spreadsheets for school and district staff to download from the Student Data Detail application via the KDE Applications Login site. Revised spreadsheets from Fall Data Review can be accessed by choosing Other Documents. Data in the updated spreadsheets include student test scores, approved change requests to student demographic and accountability data, and fixes to the systemic issues found during data review.
Zipped files for each district are now available under the Student Data Detail, within “Other Documents.” Summary files are saved as, “SD23_District Number_Post_QCDataReview _2023_DistrictName_20230828.zip” and include,

ACT Fall 2023 State Senior (Optional) Administration: Accommodations Reconsiderations Deadline
ACT will reconsider requests for accommodations authorized by ACT or English learner supports that were not initially approved. Reconsideration requests must be made prior to the deadline, which is Sept. 8, 2023. Please use ACT’s Test Accessibility and Accommodations System (TAA) system to submit additional documentation.
ACT Fall 2023 State Senior (Optional) Administration: Accommodations Qualified Exceptions to the Deadline Opens
The Qualified Exceptions to the Deadline (QED) window opened Sept. 4. The QED is for newly diagnosed or newly enrolled students. Please be sure to review the QED form to determine if the school/district has examinee(s) who are eligible to request accommodations and/or supports during this window. The QED window is not an opportunity to submit or resubmit initial requests for accommodations and/or supports. ACT Fall 2023 State Senior (Optional) Administration: Create Online Test Sessions for Window #1
The window during which testing staff can create online test sessions and add students to those sessions for the ACT online test window 1 opened on September 4, 2023. ACT recommends schools create sessions and add students to those sessions at least two days prior to the planned administration date. The published deadline to complete this activity is the final day for online testing of window 1.

September DAC Webcast Canceled
Due to the Accountability Standards Setting Meeting taking place on Thursday, Sept. 14, the monthly DAC Webcast is canceled. Future DAC Webcasts are scheduled for the second Thursday of each month.
UPDATE- Video Links Replaced for the 2023-2024 Alternate Kentucky Summative Assessment (AKSA) Combined Overview-Attainment Task (AT) Trainings
The previous links to the 2023-2024 Alternate Kentucky Summative Assessment (AKSA) Combined Overview/Attainment Task (AT) trainings have been replaced. The videos have been uploaded to the KDE Media Portal (ky.gov) rather than inserted onto a webpage and are now available using the links below. To access the training videos, please use the links below or the links from the website.
The Attainment Task (AT) quiz is available on the Kentucky Alternate Assessment Program website. Logging in is necessary to access the AT quiz. If an account has not been created previously, there is a link to register for an account on the website. The Administration Guide is available to print or download currently. The Overview/AT Quiz is scheduled to close Friday, Nov. 10. The actual training will remain posted to the Alternate Kentucky Summative Assessment site.

Deadline Tomorrow- Visual Impairment (VI) Materials Request (Repeat)
The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) will provide tactically enhanced supplemental materials (e.g., maps, graphs) for some grades on the Alternate Kentucky Summative Assessment (AKSA) Attainment Tasks (AT) to students who have visual impairments. KDE must verify that the student has VI marked on their IEP. If a student qualifies for these materials, please complete the following tasks: Verify a visual impairment has been clearly marked in the current IEP and the student is identified as participating in Kentucky’s Alternate Assessment. Once completed move to the next step.
- Locate and download your District Spreadsheet using this link: Window 1 VI Orders
- Open the Google Sheet
- Select File>Download>Microsoft Excel
- Edit the spreadsheet with your district’s data
- Save updated spreadsheets as “DistrictName_Window1.XLSX”
- Submit a copy to this Google Form by Sept. 6
Note: Only one list containing all students who qualify for this accommodation should be provided per district.
All submissions must be made no later than Wednesday, Sept. 6, to receive these VI materials for the first Alternate Kentucky Summative Assessment Attainment Task window. Districts who submit late information or do not follow the above instructions may not receive these materials for Test Window 1 (Nov. 13 – Dec. 15) on time. An email was sent out on Friday, August 18 with a direct link to your district’s spreadsheet and directions on saving and submitting the spreadsheet via Google Form. Email submissions will not be accepted. If your district does not need any VI materials, please complete the Google Form.
