(FRANKFORT, KY) –The Kentucky School for the Deaf (KSD) Advisory Board will meet at 6 p.m. ET on Aug.15, 2023.
The Kentucky General Assembly requires that KSD have an advisory board per KRS 167.037. The board acts in an advisory capacity by assisting the commissioner of education and the KSD administration on how the school can best meet the specialized education and cultural needs of the community of students it serves.
The KSD Advisory Board will set aside 30 minutes dedicated to receiving public comments. Individuals wishing to address the KSD Advisory Board should sign up before the meeting begins, provide his/her name and the issue on which they will speak. This information should be sent to Scott Haun, KSD Advisory Board chair, at scot606@aol.com no later than one day prior to the scheduled meeting date.
Individuals addressing the KSD Advisory Board will be provided five minutes each for public comment. The KSD Advisory Board has the right to set limits on the topics that may be addressed by the public to ensure relevance to the function and purpose of the advisory board.
