(FRANKFORT, KY) – The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) is seeking stakeholders who may be interested in serving on a representative interview committee for the new Kentucky School for the Deaf (KSD) principal.
Those who are interested in serving on the interview committee should complete the KSD Principal Interview Committee interest form, which will close at 5 p.m. ET on June 1. Stakeholders who are selected to serve must be available June 12-30 to review applications and conduct interviews.
KDE will select interview committee members based on the responses provided in the interest form and to ensure appropriate representation of KSD stakeholders. Those who are selected to serve on the interview committee will be notified on or before June 9.

Wednesday, May 24: A virtual community forum will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. ET to gather feedback on the qualities stakeholders would like to see in the next KSD principal. To register for the forum, please complete the KSD Virtual Forum registration form.

Friday, May 26: The application for the KSD principal will close at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Wednesday, May 31: In-person community forum will be held 7-8 p.m. ET in the KSD gymnasium to gather feedback on the qualities stakeholders would like to see in the next principal.

Friday, June 2: Kentucky School for the Deaf Principal Profile Survey closes at 11 p.m. ET.
