Q: Are the ACCESS and Alternate ACCESS Rosters open in the Student Data Review and Rosters (SDRR) application?
A: Yes, the ACCESS and Alternate ACCESS rosters are open in SDRR. ACCESS rosters are open for schools and districts to add students in order to file a nonparticipation if necessary. It will close on March 10 at 5 p.m. ET in SDRR. 2022-2023 ACCESS Roster PowerPoint is available as a resource for schools and districts.

ACT Spring 2023 Junior Administration Office Hour – Reminder
ACT and OAA have partnered to offer office hours to support testing staff navigating the spring 2023 junior administration. The next office hour will be Friday, January 13, 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. ET. Please make any staff involved with the spring administration of the ACT aware of this upcoming opportunity to connect with ACT and OAA staff. ACT Spring 2023 Junior Administration – Verifying Enrollment Open
The window to verify enrollment is now open. Testing staff can begin the work of verifying students’ enrollment. Testing staff can find supporting resources and documentation on this task within step 2 of the ACT-hosted website. Within this step are a number of supporting resources and a training tutorial designed to ensure testing staff understands what needs to be done if the list of students needs to be completed and accurate. Alternate Kentucky Summative Assessment Window 1 Makeup Window Opens
The Alternate Kentucky Summative Assessment (AKSA) Window 1 Makeup Window is open between Jan. 9 and March 24, 2023. Requests for Window 1 Makeup should have been completed by December 23, 2022. If an exceptional circumstance occurs during this window, please contact KDE at dacinfo@education.ky.gov to request approval. Please allow 1-2 business days for a request to be approved/opened.
Alternate Kentucky Summative Assessment (AKSA) Notification
OAA wanted to make District Assessment Coordinators aware that Devon Avery, AKSA project manager, has returned to the classroom. For support of AKSA, The Division of Assessment and Accountability Support (DAAS) is requesting that all email inquiries for AKSA be made to dacinfo@education.ky.gov. This step is an effort to better support our schools and districts.
DAAS will miss Devon and wishes her the best.
CTE EOP Assessment 2022-2023: Reminders Previously published 12/12/2022
The 2022-2023 Career and Technical Education (CTE) End-of-Program (EOP) Assessment testing window is Feb. 20 – March 31. Schools have selected a consecutive two-week school testing window to conduct the assessment administration. All 2022-2023 CTE EOP Assessment testing must be completed by March 31. The CTE EOP Assessments are available in person and must be proctored in person in accordance with 703 KAR 5:080 (February 2014), Administration Code for Kentucky’s Educational Assessment Program and 703 KAR 5:070 (April 2021), Inclusion of Special Populations in the State-Required Assessment and Accountability Programs.
Reminders:
- Schools must meet CRITICAL DEADLINES for students to be eligible to test. A student must be identified as a “concentrator” in their pathway(s) in Infinite Campus (IC) and the Technical Education Database System (TEDS) AND have at least two credits in a pathway completed (two credits on their home high school transcript in the pathway and reflected in TEDS data) by the Feb. 1 deadline to be eligible to test in 2022-2023. Refer to the latest TEDS Monthly Notes - Kentucky Department of Education for additional information regarding TEDS data. Test tickets will be generated in E-SESS, after Feb. 1, using the data from TEDS.
- All concentrator students in a pathway, with a CTE EOP Assessment available, who receive a test ticket will be eligible to take the test.
- The complete list of 2022-2023 Valid CTE End-of-Program (EOP) Assessments is available on the CTE EOP Assessments webpage and are aligned to Career Pathway Standards.
- All individuals participating in the administration of CTE EOP Assessment shall comply with 703 KAR 5:080 (February 2014), Administration Code for Kentucky’s Educational Assessment Program and 703 KAR 5:070 (April 2021), Inclusion of Special Populations in the State-Required Assessment and Accountability Programs. Assessment Regulations Training must be completed by all individuals participating in the administration of the assessments prior to testing at the local level. Nondisclosures and Group Signature Sheets verifying training should be kept on file locally.

2022-2023 TRACK Skilled Trades—Carpentry, Electrical and Welding Assessments – REMINDER: Critical Deadline Feb. 1
The 2022-2023 Skilled Trades, Tech Ready Apprentices for Careers in Kentucky (TRACK) Carpentry, TRACK Electrical and TRACK Welding assessments testing window is Feb. 20 – Mar. 31. Schools will administer TRACK assessments during the same consecutive two-week school testing window selected for CTE EOP Assessments. A Skilled Trades TRACK assessment retest option will be available from April 17-28 for eligible students that tested during the initial Skilled Trades TRACK assessment testing window and did not meet benchmark.
ACTION REQUESTED - Critical Deadline: For a student to be eligible to test in TRACK Carpentry, TRACK Electrical or TRACK Welding assessments and a test ticket to be generated, the following is required by Feb. 1:
- The student must be enrolled and identified as a concentrator in the specific TRACK pathway: Skilled Trades Commercial Carpentry TRACK (CIP CODE: 46.0201.99), Skilled Trades Construction Electrical TRACK (CIP CODE: 46.0302.99) or Skilled Trades Welding TRACK (CIP CODE: 48.0508.99) in Infinite Campus (IC) and the Technical Education Database System (TEDS); and
- The student’s record must show four credits (earned or currently enrolled for the fourth credit) in IC and TEDS in the specific Skilled Trades TRACK pathway sequence of courses in the same year the assessment is taken.
This data will be pulled from TEDS as of Feb. 1 to generate E-SESS test tickets. Refer to the links TEDS Monthly Notes and TEDS website for more information regarding TEDS data.”
The 2022-2023 Skilled Trades TRACK Carpentry, TRACK Electrical and TRACK Welding assessments will only be available in-person and must be proctored in-person pursuant to the 703 KAR 5:080 (February 2014), Administration Code for Kentucky's Educational Assessment Program, 703 KAR 5:070 (April 2021), Inclusion of Special Populations in the State-Required Assessment and Accountability Programs. Assessment Regulations Training must be completed by all individuals participating in the administration of the assessments prior to testing at the local level. Nondisclosures and Group Signature Sheets verifying training should be kept on file locally. In addition to Assessment Regulations Training, TRACK specific assessment instructions, including TRACK Carpentry, TRACK Electrical or TRACK Welding, must be followed during TRACK assessment administration.
