Question of the Week
Q: When does the window open to request accommodations for the Spring 2023 Junior ACT Administration?
A: The window in which testing staff can request accommodations and supports for students testing during the spring 2023 junior administration opened today, Monday, Nov. 14. Testing staff can submit requests in ACT’s Test Accessibility and Accommodations (TAA) system, which is accessible at success.act.org. Testing staff can find additional information and supporting documentation and resources within step 3 of the ACT-hosted website.
ACT and KDE recommend that testing staff submit requests for accommodations and supports soon to ensure any additional documentation or information requested to secure accommodations and supports can be provided to ACT prior to key deadline dates outlined within the Schedule of Events.
Please ensure that staff responsible for requesting accommodations and supports for examinees will have the opportunity to participate in a training webinar with content focused on accommodations. The accommodation session will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 15. Testing staff is encouraged to register for this training opportunity. For questions, please contact Shara Savage.

The AKSA testing window to administer Attainment Tasks (AT) will begin on Monday, Nov. 14. Content standards for reading, mathematics, science, social studies and writing will be assessed.
