Question of the Week
Q: When will the ACT Spring 2023 Junior Administration activities open in the ACT PAN?
A: School and district testing staff will receive an email from ACT on Monday, Nov.7, with information about the ACT spring 2023 junior test administration. The communication will be sent from statetesting@operations.act.org. Testing staff should ensure this email address is added as a trusted contact to ensure they receive communications for ACT throughout the administration cycle.
This communication will provide testing staff with information and links to supporting documents designed to help testing staff complete the Select Test Dates Task in PearsonAccessNext (PAN). This task is required regardless of whether you plan to test, and the deadline for testing staff to complete this task is Dec. 9. If you have any questions, please contact Shara Savage.
ACT Spring 2023 Junior In-Person Training Opportunities – Deadline Extended
OAA and ACT are partnering to offer testing staff the opportunity to participate in in-person training sessions to provide information about the spring 2023 administration cycle of the ACT. This test administration training session will cover the essential tasks for test coordinators throughout the testing cycle and KDE policy. It will include information on how to administer the pre-test, order materials, store secure test materials, administer the test and return the materials after testing for scoring and reporting. This information is targeted primarily to assigned test coordinators, but other key testing staff, including test accommodations coordinators and district assessment coordinators, are welcome to participate. Alternate Kentucky Summative Assessment (AKSA) Standards Targets Posted
The AKSA Standards Targets documents are posted on the Office of Assessment and Accountability Kentucky Academic Standards Alternate KSA website. As a reminder, the Kentucky Academic Standards are the background and focus for content and assessment development; the AKSA targets represent specific guidance surrounding a standard as it could be presented on the AKSA. Neither the standards nor AKSA targets have changed; this is simply an update of the metadata and accessibility of the documents. For more information, please contact your local education cooperative.
