(FRANKFORT, KY) – The Kentucky Department of Education's (KDE's) Science Advisory Panel and Review Committee will meet on Aug. 18 at 9 a.m. ET.
KRS 158.6453 calls for KDE to implement a process for reviewing all academic standards and aligned assessments. The schedule calls for one or two content areas to be reviewed each year, and every six years after that on a rotating basis.
Jointly, the Science Advisory Panel and Review Committee are composed of 39 members, including elementary, middle and high school teachers from across the state and members from postsecondary education institutions.
The meeting will be held via a hybrid platform. Members of the public may join virtually or watch the meeting in Training Rooms A and B at KDE, 300 Sower Blvd., Frankfort, KY 40601.
