Update on School Report Card Data Available for Review
The School Report Card (SRC) Data Approval Tool remains open through Sept. 16 for districts to review the Overview, Education Opportunity and Transition to Adult Life domains.
School Safety remains open within the SRC, but officially closed Aug. 12 so that data can be provided to the Center for School Safety and Office of Education Accountability before the end of the month. Contact Windy Newton directly if there are remaining questions about the School Safety data reported in the SRC.
Please remember to verify that current principal and superintendent contact names are reflected on the SRC landing page. Verify these contacts and other demographic data for each school and district by selecting the “Preview Dashboard” option on the top right side of the Approval Tool landing page. Updates to the contact information must be made through the People Role Manager system. Contact the district web application administrator points of contact (WAAPOC) as identified in Open House for assistance with updates. If updates are not reflected in SRC Preview Dashboard in three days, please reach out to Jessi Carlton.
Data that was reported as not available in the Aug. 1 communication when the SRC Approval Tool opened but is now available includes:
-
Education Opportunity, Advanced Coursework /Advanced Placement assessment data. International Baccalaureate and Cambridge Advanced International data is not yet available; the assessment results are not available at this time.
-
Overview/ Faculty, Staff and Community/ Equity/Students Taught by Ineffective Teachers is now available for schools that have provided this data to the Kentucky Department of Education. It will continue to be updated as the remaining schools provide their required responses. This information is collected through the Kentucky Equitable Access to Effective Educator (Ineffective Teacher) Survey that was sent to district superintendents on July 18. All but a few districts have responded. The Ineffective Collection Status Report has been removed from the SRC Resource Page. Districts are being contacted directly for missing schools.
Schools and districts should be verifying data, entering school collection items through the collection tool, flagging data issues and approving data within each of the three domains. The SRC Quality Assurance Worksheet can be used to help guide SRC users through the review process. The SRC Collection Items document provides detail on data that must be entered at the school level to meet federal and/or state reporting requirements.
Navigate to the Kentucky School Report Card (SRC) Data Approval Tool to begin the SRC review process. The SRC timeline and highlights of 2022 reporting changes are posted on the KSIS SRC Resource webpage. The Data Approval Tool User Guide is available on that page.
