Question of the Week
Q: What resources are available for districts and schools on the Fall Data Review process in the Student Data Review and Rosters (SDRR) application?
A: Resources for Fall Data Review including a PowerPoint presentation and video are now available on the SDRR web page. The Fall Data Review period beginning Aug. 11 in SDRR, allows schools and districts a final opportunity to change individual student level data prior to the public data release for ACCESS, Alternate ACCESS, Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA), Alternate Kentucky Summative Assessment (AKSA), Year and Five-Year Cohort Graduation Rate, Postsecondary Readiness, and Postsecondary Readiness Scores. More details on Fall Data Review will be released in a Special DAC email prior to the opening later this week.

CTE Reminder – September 1 deadline to add pathway in TEDS
On September 1, the Technical Education Data System (TEDS) 2021-2022 data will be locked to begin the rollover for 2022-2023. Schools must add any new pathways in TEDS, if applicable, by September 1 for the pathway to be available in TEDS during the 2022-2023 school year. Students are not required to be enrolled in the new pathway by September 1, but schools must add the pathway if the pathway does not already exist in TEDS for their school. Work with your TEDS Coordinator at your school to verify all applicable pathways already exist in TEDS, or have been properly added by September 1. Refer to the TEDS instructions Request to ADD or REMOVE a Pathway for more details.

Global Alternate Program Calendar Released
The Alternate Kentucky Summative Assessment Calendar has been renamed to the Alternate Program Calendar. This change came about this summer to better serve teachers and district level staff. In previous years there had been two calendars serving each wing of the Alternate Program. This year the calendars were combined to encompass important dates for all aspects of the Alternate Program. All dates for the following items are included:
- Alternate Kentucky Summative Assessment (AKSA)
- Transition Attainment Record (TAR)
- Career Work Experience Certification (CWEC)
- Employability Skills Attainment Record (ESAR)
- Infinite Campus Data Pulls
- SRD/CRD
If a date is important to know for any of those areas of the Alternate Program, it was included in this new global calendar. We welcome feedback as we continue to improve this and many other areas of the Alternate Program and the communication that you receive surrounding it.

2022-2023 WIDA Accessibility and Accommodations Updates
The Accessibility and Accommodations Manual and related resources for accessibility have been posted to the World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment (WIDA) website and SEA Secure Portal.
Updated WIDA Screener Test Administrator Manuals
The WIDA Screener Online and WIDA Screener Paper Test Administrator Manuals (TAMs) have been updated and been posted to the WIDA Secure Portal. While the covers remain the same, the content in both manuals has been reorganized to make them easier to use. Both documents have improved accessibility and are consistent with the style used for the ACCESS for ELLs Test Administrator Manual. Educators can continue to use previously downloaded or purchased TAMs while administering WIDA Screener, but may choose to download the new and improved edition.
Family Engagement Resources Available in Ukrainian
As refugee students and families from Ukraine begin their school journey in the United States (U.S.), the WIDA Consortium felt it necessary to prioritize translating and publishing some of our Family Engagement resources in Ukrainian. The newly translated resources, which are housed on the Family Engagement webpage under Explain ELL Status and Language Testing, and Promote and Support Family Engagement (print resources only), help explain things like ELL status and language testing, and provide families with things that can be done to support children’s language development.
If district or schools have a request in to WIDA to have resources translated into a language that's spoken in the school, don't worry, that request is still on WIDA’s radar.
Change to WIDA Client Services Hours on Aug. 9
The WIDA Client Services Center will be closed on Tuesday, Aug. 9 from 9:45 a.m.-11:15 a.m. Central time to allow staff to participate in organization-wide professional development activities.
