School Report Card Approval/Collector Tool Open
The Kentucky School Report Card (SRC) Data Approval Tool is now open for districts to:
- Verify Safe Schools data by July 29; and
- Enter all collection items by Sept. 16.
District Safe Schools administrators were notified of this opening July 19 and asked to verify data and enter precautionary measures in the collector tool.
The collection items go beyond safety data and may require a team approach to complete at each school. The full list of collection items are available on the SRC resource webpage. The bulk of the questions are for the School Profile Report required by KRS 158.6453 Section 3 (20). School Profile Report Collection Tool Guidance also is available for reporting content area data (visual and performing arts, health education and physical education, world languages and career studies). Community and technology questions also are collected in this tool to meet other reporting requirements.
New this year, essential workplace ethics program details are included on the School Profile Report. Three questions were added to the SRC Collection Tool in the career studies area to capture program information for each school.
These questions include: (1) A description of the school’s workplace ethics program, (2) The URL of the Workplace Ethics Program website, and (3) What percent of students at the school have attained local board approved essential workplace ethics requirements. KRS 158.1413 details requirements of the essential workplace ethics instruction program and the Kentucky Academic Standards/Career Studies guide provides additional detail.
Other reminders:
- The School Report Card Resources webpage will be used again this year as a central repository for communications and other resources.
- Superintendents can add their own message to the SRC in the district level collector. Instructions for adding a superintendent message are available on the SRC resource webpage.
- Ineffective teacher data required for SRC reporting is collected separately through a survey. Details were included in the July 18 Monday Message.
- The Overview, Educational Opportunity and Transition to Adult Life domains will open on Aug. 3. The SRC QA worksheet provides tools that can be used to help with verifying data.
