Subpart 1
Title I, Part D (TIPD) Subpart 1 applications are open in GMAP and you may continue working on your program plans and budgets.
Subpart 1 applications must be submitted by Aug. 31, 2022. Final allocations will be released in the fall upon receipt of final notification from the U.S. Department of Education.

Subpart 2
The FY23 Consolidated GMAP Application is now open and is due Aug. 31, 2022. Allocations in GMAP are preliminary for the 2022-2023 school year.
FY23 preliminary allocations are available in GMAP, within the Allocations section. Final allocations will be released in the fall upon receipt of final notification from the U.S. Department of Education.

Performance Report
Title I, Part D requires state educational agencies (SEAs) to submit information annually regarding the educational progress of students served with Part D funds (see Subpart 3, Section 1431(a)). The purpose of the performance report is to collect program data the U.S. Department of Education can use to determine the effectiveness of the Part D educational programs in relation to the progress students are making regarding academic, vocational and transition outcomes.
SEAs report this data annually through two reporting tools: Consolidated State Performance Report (CSPR) and EDFacts.
Subpart 1 and Subpart 2 programs collect data for the same indicators, focusing on three main areas:
- Demographics (race/ethnicity, age, gender, etc.)
- Academic and vocational outcomes (within facility and after exit)
- Academic performance in reading/language arts and math
Performance reports are now open in GMAP and must be submitted by Sept. 9, 2022. The data collection for this report covers the period between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022.

Free PBLWorks Three-Day Workshops
This summer, every public school educator in the Commonwealth has an opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills to facilitate high-quality projects in their classrooms in a free, three-day workshop.
In partnership with the Kentucky Department of Education, PBLWorks is providing PBL 101 workshops in person and online. By participating in one of the workshops, you will:
- Build the foundation of a project that is deeply rooted in rigorous content;
- Increase awareness of student strengths, interests and needs to make equitable instructional decisions; and
- Reflect on the needs of learners and incorporate scaffolding strategies to support learning throughout a project.
Workshops are being provided across the state. Find a workshop online or near you below. You can register for the PBL 101 workshops online for all sessions.

Title I, Part D Coordinators' Year at a Glance - Summer
July:
- Collect signed Time and Effort records for staff who work on multiple cost objectives.
- Submit requests to amend grants, as needed.
- Collect semi-annual certifications for Title I personnel whose compensation is funded solely from Title I and for personnel using the substitute time and effort system.
August:
- Collect signed Time and Effort records for staff who work on multiple cost objectives.
- Submit Performance Report to the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE).
- Finalize the program plan/application and budget and submit for approval in the Grant Management Application and Planning System (GMAP.)
- Update contact information with state education agency, if needed.
- Develop a system to collect and organize documentation related to the district’s Title I program for state monitoring reviews.
September:
- Collect signed Time and Effort records for staff who work on multiple cost objectives.
- Review and update Title I personnel lists for each building.
- Consult with participating facilities for delinquent youth to develop an evaluation of services.
- Identify a data collection method for the child count.
- Establish a process for ongoing collaboration.
