(FRANKFORT, KY) – The Kentucky Department of Education's (KDE's) Visual and Performing Arts Advisory Panel and Review Committee will meet virtually on June 15 at 9 a.m. ET.
KRS 158.6453 calls for KDE to implement a process for reviewing all academic standards and aligned assessments. The schedule calls for one or two content areas to be reviewed each year, and every six years after that on a rotating basis.
The Visual and Performing Arts standards revision committee is composed of members of both the Advisory Panel and the Review Committee, which includes 30 Kentucky elementary, middle and high school teachers and members from postsecondary education institutions.
The meeting will be held via video teleconference. Members of the public may watch in Conference Room 416 at KDE, 300 Sower Blvd., Frankfort, KY 40601.
