(FRANKFORT, KY) – A select joint subcommittee, with members from the science standards Advisory Panel and Review Committee, will meet virtually at 9 a.m. ET on June 10.
KRS 158.6453 requires the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) to implement a process for reviewing all academic standards and aligned assessments. The schedule calls for one or two content areas to be reviewed each year, and every six years after that, on a rotating basis.
The science standards subcommittee is comprised of a small group of members from both the Advisory Panel and Review Committee, which are made up of elementary, middle and high school teachers and members from postsecondary education.
The meeting will be held via video teleconference. Members of the public may watch in Conference Room 516 at KDE, 300 Sower Blvd., Frankfort, KY 40601.
