Kentucky Academic Standards for World Languages Have Been Loaded for All Districts
Infinite Campus has loaded the Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS) for World Languages to all districts. The process began Nov. 18 and may have taken a couple of days to be completed in all districts. This Campus process does not change any KAS content that previously had been imported.
This process assigned a rubric called “Blank Rubric” to the new KAS items. Districts can assign a different rubric in the Standards Bank or rename “Blank Rubric” and define the scores as desired. Next steps for using the KAS in Infinite Campus include configuring rubrics and aligning standards to courses.
The KAS in Infinite Campus should be regarded as an interactive digital companion that can provide direct support for teachers who wish to use features such as standards-based grading, progress monitoring and lesson planning in Infinite Campus. To design high-quality, standards-aligned instruction, educators should continue to use the KAS documents available on the KYstandards.org. Additionally, for digital efficiencies, this will establish the framework to include future course-by-course, course code alignment with connected academic standards through the statewide student information system.
