(FRANKFORT, KY) – The Science Review Committee will meet virtually at 9 a.m. ET on Nov. 22.
KRS 158.6453 calls for the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) to implement a process for reviewing all academic standards and aligned assessments beginning in the 2017-2018 school year. The schedule calls for one or two content areas to be reviewed each year and every six years after that on a rotating basis.
The Science Review Committee is composed of nine members, including elementary, middle and high school teachers from across the state.
The meeting will be held via video teleconference. Members of the public may watch the meeting in Conference Room 416 at KDE, 300 Sower Blvd., Frankfort, KY 40601.
Visitors will be required to wear a face covering or they will not be permitted in the building. If a visitor does not have a face covering upon arrival, a face covering will be provided.
