(FRANKFORT, KY) – The Kentucky Department of Education's (KDE's) Testing Board of Review (TBR) will meet via video teleconference on Oct. 20 at 1:30 p.m. ET.
The TBR and the commissioner of education work together to ensure the integrity of all state-required assessments. 703 KAR 5:080 charges the TBR with providing a recommendation to the commissioner regarding testing allegations reported to KDE.
The commissioner appoints the board members to represent various divisions within KDE. To maintain the independence of the board, members do not include persons whose job duties consist of investigating testing allegations or those who work in the assessment and accountability area of KDE. Each board member receives Administration Code Training.
While the meeting will be held via video teleconference, members of the public may watch the meeting in Room 516 at KDE, 300 Sower Blvd., Frankfort, KY 40601.
Visitors will be required to wear a face covering or they will not be permitted in the building. If a visitor does not have a face covering upon arrival, a face covering will be provided.
