Q: When will Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) summary reports and individual student data be available?
A: The Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) student data from spring 2021 summative testing is now available in PearsonAccessnext. The release provides results to support work with individual students during the school year and meets reporting expectations in Kentucky legislation. Paper copies of the Individual Student Reports (ISRs) are being printed and will be shipped to arrive the week of Oct. 4.
The 2020-2021 school year was considered a transition year moving from the Kentucky Performance Rating for Educational Progress (K-PREP) to the Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA). Since the full menu of the Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS) for all content areas are now in place, the K-PREP and Alternate K-PREP have been sunsetted. As the spring 2021 summative assessment was developed, the transition to KSA and Alternate KSA had not occurred, and thus the K-PREP and Alternate K-PREP names remained.

Updated Reports and Public Release
Assessment data are now available for 2021 public release to districts and schools online and in the Applications - Login (ky.gov). When in the KDE Applications, select the Student Data Detail (Excel and PDF) for the updated zip files with spreadsheets.
Updated Summary Spreadsheets within ZIP File Updated summary spreadsheets are available in the KDE Applications in one zipped file. These spreadsheets have been updated from Quality Control (QC). DACs will download the zipped files with student information. The zipped files for each district can be found under the Student Data Detail- example of the file name "SD21_ddd_Public_2021_DistrictName_20200927.zip”. The “ddd” is the district number.
Data to Media On Tuesday, Sept. 28, working media will receive an email from the Kentucky Department of Education with links to an embargoed press release and secure password(s) to the same URLs that DACs and School Report Card Contacts received today.
Public Release On Wednesday, Sept. 29 all assessment data will be made public. Kentucky’s School Report Card suite includes, School Report Card Main Landing Page. Quality of School Climate and Safety along with the Opportunity to Learn Survey items will be included with Research Data.
ACCESS For ELLs Test Materials Ordering
The window for ordering ACCESS test materials (ACCESS, Alternate ACCESS, Kindergarten ACCESS, Large print, Braille) is Sept. 28 – Oct. 26. District Assessment Coordinators (DACs) will place the testing orders for their schools in the WIDA Assessment Management System (AMS). Only order the materials that are needed. The Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA) will provide the Data Recognition Corporation (DRC) with the pre-id label file after the ordering window closes. DACs will not order pre-id labels in WIDA AMS. The PowerPoint provides additional details for ordering ACCESS test materials.

EOC State Administration Training – Nov. 4
District Assessment Coordinators (DACs) and/or DAC designees may register for the End-of-Course (EOC) State Administration Virtual Training. EOC school test coordinators or district and school administrators assisting with EOC test administration should plan to attend the virtual Test Administration Trainings. Due to the Commissioner’s Educational Summit, the November date has been rescheduled. The training session will be on Thursday, Nov. 4 (9 -11a.m. ET). The training is an opportunity to administer the 2021 EOC Exams successfully. An EILA Credit will be provided for the training. For any questions or concerns, please contact Shara Savage.

Testing Allegation Letter Issues
An issue has been identified with the timely distribution of testing allegation letters. In order to prevent these issues in the future, the following changes have been implemented: Testing allegation letters will be mailed to the superintendents, and copies will also be sent to District Assessment Coordinators. Upon the receipt of the testing allegation letter(s), it will be the district’s responsibility to notify the school principals and the specific educators/staff identified in the letters and recommended for training. If there are any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Beth Bales.
Assessment Scores in Infinite Campus
The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) strives to publish student results data in Infinite Campus (IC) as it becomes available. KDE will publish 2021 K-PREP assessments to districts beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 28.
