Q: Will there be resources to assist districts with Public Reporting of the assessment data this year?
A: Yes. The Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA) has created several resources to assist district leaders to prepare for the Public Release of Data in the School Report Card (SRC). Currently, the KDE website is under maintenance and not allowing modification to upload the documents. As soon as the website is available for modifications, the resources will be posted and a Special DAC Email will be shared.
Program Consultant Vacancy
An Education Academic Program Consultant position in the Division of Assessment and Accountability Support (DAAS) is open through Sept. 27 for applicants. The posting lists the job description and duties for all those who are interested in working with the Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA). The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) offers flexible work hours and the ability to work from home.

Save the Date for KDE Policy ACT Administration Training Sessions
The Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA) and ACT, Inc. will be delivering hybrid trainings this fall for the state administration of the ACT on Nov. 17 and 18. New this year, OAA and ACT are offering three sessions at each location to ensure there is ample opportunity to participate and to be in compliance with COVID-19 mitigation efforts. Space will be limited at each in-person session. At least one of the sessions per location will include a remote option. The remote option will be a Teams meeting. EILA Credit will be provided for this training. Please ensure testing staff are aware of these dates and options. Registration links will be in upcoming DAC communications.

“Estill County School District is located at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Irvine, Kentucky. The school district serves 2,000 students in six schools. Estill County public schools has an all-day preschool at South Irvine Early Learning Center; Estill Springs houses Kindergarten through second grade; West Irvine Intermediate has grades 3 – 5; Estill County Middle holds grades 6 – 8; and Estill County High School houses grades 9 -- 12.
“Our newest facility is the Estill County Area Technology Center that opened in July of this year.
