QC Day Review
Thank you for being part of the Quality Control (QC) Day. The Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA) hopes this QC Day process has been a positive experience. Due to your work today, we were able to improve our data for the School Report Card (SRC) in preparation for public release. The QC worked exactly as planned – your careful review helped us find the following systemic issues:
- A data load issue for the following demographic groups: Title 1, Migrant, Gifted/Talented, Homeless, Foster and Military.
- Accommodations were not identified correctly within the NAPD listings from QC Data Review.
These systemic issues will be corrected prior to the public release.
As shared yesterday in the Commissioner’s Message and a Special School Report Card Contact (SRCC)/DAC Email, the timeline for public release of data in the SRC is:
-
Sept. 27 – Release to districts under embargo (districts may discuss results internally, but not in public meetings).
-
Sept. 28 – Release to working media under embargo (districts may discuss results with media, but not in public meetings).
-
Sept. 29 – Public release of the SRC.
The next opportunity District Assessment Coordinators (DACs) will have to request changes to student level data will be after public release. School and district staff will be able to request individual student changes in the Student Data Review and Rosters (SDRR) application for 10 days after the public release of the SRC. Additional details will be shared in an upcoming DAC email on this next step.
-
Sept. 29 through Oct. 8 – 10-day regulatory data review after public release of the SRC.
Thank you again for the critical review of your school and district data today!
