Question of the Week
Q: Have the dates for the Quality Control (QC) Data Review in the Student Data Review and Rosters (SDRR) application been confirmed?
A: Yes. The Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA) has confirmed the dates of Aug. 6-13 for the QC Data Review in the SDRR application. OAA will also provide student listing spreadsheets through the KDE Applications - Login on Aug. 6 but does not provide state data or school/district summary data at that time. OAA plans to provide districts with the school and district summary data on Aug. 10. Quality Control (QC) Day will tentatively occur on Sept. 8. Districts will receive training material and more information about Data Review prior to SDRR opening later this week.
As a reminder, the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) login page was updated to improve security and to minimize the number of passwords in which to keep track. Both SDRR and the Student Data Details can be accessed at Applications - Login. If authorized staff have not attempted to log in, directions can be found at KDE Web Applications Update to 0365 Login. Information was also presented during the June Monthly DAC Webcast beginning around the 9-minute mark. New District Assessment Coordinators (DACs) and Building Assessment Coordinators (BACs) should contact their Web Application Administrator Points of Contacts (WAAPOC) for rights to the system. To access the WAAPOC list for each district, go to the Public School Directory listing on Open House.

Registration Now Open for 2021 Kentucky Education Summit
The following media release may be of interest to District Assessment Coordinators.
(FRANKFORT, KY) – The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) opened its registration website for the 2021 Kentucky Education Summit, which is scheduled for Nov. 1-2 at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville.
The statewide summit will focus on the future of K-12 education in the Commonwealth. Over two days, the event will pull in some of the nation’s top education reform leaders to help begin a discussion about how to build a stronger education system with high standards in Kentucky.
“I am excited to bring together such a stellar group of people and dedicate those two days to really rethinking what education needs to be for our students to be prepared for life after graduation,” said Jason E. Glass, Kentucky’s commissioner of education and chief learner. “We also will be hearing reports that are now being produced by the Kentucky Coalition for Advancing Education and the mental health roundtables being led by Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman. These key insights will help fill in the pieces about what our students and families feel is needed in education.”
