Assessment and Accountability Regulations Public Comment Period and June 22 Public Hearing
Two assessment and accountability regulations are currently available for public comment: 703 KAR 5:070, Inclusion of Special Populations in the State-Required Assessment and Accountability Programs, and 703 KAR 5:240, Administrative Procedures and Guidelines. Resources to assist with review of each regulation are included below.
Many changes were initiated from a federal Kentucky Consolidated Performance Review conducted last summer. The monitoring visit resulted in several changes mandated by the U.S. Education Department (USED) such as the removal of the extraordinary circumstance non-participation. For 703 KAR 5:070, Inclusion of Special Populations in the State-Required Assessment and Accountability Programs, many of the changes are included in the document incorporated by reference.
