Call for Exemplary School Parent and Family Engagement Policies and Compacts
KDE is looking for exemplary school parent and family engagement policies and compacts. A selected compact and policy will be included in an upcoming Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence resource on parent and family engagement, and the schools will receive credit in the resource.
If we receive multiple submissions, we will include additional strong examples in upcoming webinars and newsletters.
This is your chance to highlight your schools’ work! Email Tara Rodriguez with any school parent and family engagement policies or compacts you would like to submit for consideration to the Prichard Committee resource and upcoming Title I webinars/newsletters.
Are you making the most of GMAP?
Don’t miss the budget features on the GMAP budget page for your Title I, Part A application.
For example, budget filtering is a helpful tool and provides a way to view and download a subset of budget details. Filtering budget data takes place on the Budget Detail page and can be used regardless of the application status. The filtering criteria include object codes, function codes, LEA/school organizations, etc.
When building your application, the location filter feature is especially helpful for viewing each school’s budget separately to ensure that the PPA is correctly allocated in the budget details.
More details on how to use budget filters can be found in the attachment, "New 2020 Budget Features," within the Help for Current Pages budget screen. The attachment contains other helpful budget features such as:
- Budget upload/download
- Using a budget template
- Steps for creating or modifying a budget
