‘Eliciting Evidence of Learning’ Module Now Available!

In the first section of this module, participants will learn about designing and eliciting evidence of student learning aligned to the Kentucky Academic Standards. The module will take a closer look at strategies for eliciting evidence aligned to the depth of the standard and criteria for high-quality classroom assessments.

The "Eliciting Evidence of Learning" module is the fourth part in our Balanced Assessment series and is available on the Balanced Assessment Professional Learning Modules webpage. The module consists of a PowerPoint and facilitator’s guide, and an additional PowerPoint and facilitator’s guide for a teacher collaboration activity. An overview video is available to provide orientation to all the components.

More Kentucky Academic Standards now available in Infinite Campus

Infinite Campus loaded the Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS) for Career Studies and Financial Literacy, Health Education, Physical Education and Visual and Performing Arts to all districts starting Dec. 4 and completing earlier this week. The process did not change any KAS content that has previously been imported.

The KAS for Mathematics also has been updated to include associations between standards. These associations mirror the coherences listed in the KAS for Mathematics PDF document and can be viewed within the Standards Bank in Infinite Campus. Anyone wishing to view the associations within Infinite Campus will need to be granted read access to the Standards Bank.

This process will assign a rubric called “Blank Rubric” to the KAS items. Districts can assign a different rubric in the Standards Bank or rename “Blank Rubric” and define the scores as desired. Next steps for utilizing the KAS in Infinite Campus include configuring rubrics and assigning standards to courses.

The KAS in Infinite Campus should be regarded as an interactive digital companion that can provide direct support for teachers who wish to utilize such features as standards-based grading, progress monitoring and lesson planning in Infinite Campus. To design high-quality, standards-aligned instruction, educators should continue to use the KAS documents available on the KYstandards.org
